New-Home Sales Rose Sharply in March as Builders Burn Through Inventory
Sales of new single-family houses in March were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 682,000, according to estimates released jointly May 5 by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
